Graduates of the MA International Multimedia Programme did exceedingly well in a recent international multimedia competition. Run by the Dali International Photography Festival, the 2011 competition attracted entries from all the leading Chinese media organisations as well as many international sources.
In the Features section, two of this year’s graduates – Berta Tilmantaite and Seth Coleman – won second and third prize respectively. First prize was won by Chang He from the Oriental Morning Post, a 2008 graduate from our Dalian programme, for On the Wheel.
In the Interactive section, first prize went to Jerry Liu from the Xianshan Morning News. Jerry was a 2009 graduate from the Dalian programme.
Finally, all three spot news prizes were won by photographers from the Nangfung group, all of whom attended a one week multimedia training in Dalian run by the MA course leader Dr D.J. Clark.
